Today day is my last day in Grenoble, where I have spent two months doing my secondment in Air Liquide advanced technologies (ALAT).

There, I had the chance to discuss with people from different departments about the output of the company and also about the challenges for the future involving cryogenics.
Later, I was involved in a project where I helped to test and run one system which will be used in the ISS for purifying the air of the astronauts.

I had the chance of getting more experience in the use of Labview and also was able to test and improve the system; this implied to further understand the machine operation and the particularities of its parts. Besides, I experienced how a big company as ALAT is structured and how people develop their career in industry after the PhD. Now, I'm spending some days at the CNRS for discussing the exact details of my last secondment.
Thanks to the locals for the great time we had together. We have done hikes, dinners, visits to the city and had some vin chaud in the Christmas market. I had a wonderful time here and I'm looking forward to coming back next year!

Finally, I'd like to wish merry Christmas to everyone! I hope you have some vacation and time for relaxing and disconnecting.
