I just completed my first week of my internship at the academic publishing house, EDP Sciences - I'm working from home due to the omnipresent disruption of COVID-19. Luckily I recently got fibre optic internet connection installed in my apartment, so the video calls are a bit more "real".
As a young researcher the whole world of academic publishing has always seemed pretty alien to me, so this should be an interesting insight.
I will be working on projects ranging from the facilitation of a scientific writing masterclass to analysing the effectiveness of a journal's peer review process... I'm excited to get started!
