Molecularly Functionalized Low-Dimensional Systems session on gathered.town

Yesterday, I have been part of the special session of the MIni Colloquia of GEFES2020 in which pre-recorded talks and posters were shown and discussed.

The organizers decided to make it more "real", gathering us in an online platform. With my avatar, I could go around the enviroment (a conference building) and check out posters or videos. We were also able to approach people and discuss in a more private way their own work, only with the people that had their avatar close to us.

It was really interesting and a really nice solution for more authenthic virtual conferences.

Here a picture of the session, taken at the virtual beach outside of the building!!!

Only drinks were missing!!!
