As part of the Passion for Knowledge (P4K) festival two Nobel prize laureates were giving talks yesterday in San Sebastian. The week-long open science event "is a collective celebration of learning and curiosity involving the active participation of thousands of citizens".
Rebekka and me joined the PhD students of the local research centres like CIC nanoGUNE, DIPC and CIC biomaGUNE to take the opportunity to see the famous researchers who are the brilliant minds behind some of the most important scientifc discoveries of recent years. The impressive architecture of the Victoria Eugenia Theatre made a great backdrop for some very interesting presentations and discussions about the interplay of science and society.
