Plans for new surface preparation chamber finished

An important part of my PhD is the extension of our existing dilution cryostat by a UHV surface preparation chamber. This will allow me to perform in-situ sample preparation which is crucial for high quality STM measurements. The planning process for this project is now finished and the mechanical parts are currently being manufactured. Its assembly will start in April.
