Secondment at Aalto

During my secondment at Aalto, we tried to use some of the TI-junctions we fabricated at Chalmers to do some thermometry. We found that, just like a normal SNS junction thermometer, these TI-junction could be used for thermometry till 100mK by exploiting the temperature dependence of the switching current. This was only possible due to the help and advice from Prof. Jukka, Joonas, ESR Bayan, Libin, Florian, Olivier, Diego, George and all the other members of the PICO group and I would like to thank them. Also, I enjoyed the discussions with Florian, George, and Diego on various topics and also liked having lunch with the group every day and lunchtime conversations. The pictures below will summarize the secondment.
